KWCH: Shocker Legend Dave Stallworth Dies

As the Shockers prepare to take part in the NCAA Tournament tonight, many are mourning the loss of a Shocker legend. KWCH is reporting that Dave Stallworth has died. Stallworth passed away on Wednesday at the age of 75. Stallworth was a part of the Shocker basketball team that made its first appearance in the NCAA Tournament in 1964. The Shockers went on to the Final Four that year. Stallworth was drafted in the first round of the NBA draft the very next year, going to the New York Knicks. He was the third overall pick and went on to play professional basketball for eight season. Dave Stallworth is the third leading scorer in Wichita State mens basketball histroy.
