Former JoCo House Rep. Joins Governor’s Race

Yet another candidate jumps in the already crowded race for Kansas governor. Ed O’Malley, a former state representative, is kicking off a listening tour today to launch his campaign. He will make a stop in Wichita toniught. O’Malley once represented Kansas House District 24 in Johnson County for two terms. He also was a staff member for former Kansas Governor Bill Graves. After leaving the legislature, O’Malley created the non-profit Kansas Leadership Center in Wichita. He will join eight other Republicans who have already announced. Additionally, Independent Candidate Rick Kloos has also submitted a petition to be on the ballot as a third party candidate.
